What's In The Peanut Butter

By the way, I think Lee Ann just has the sniffles, I don't think it was the peanut butter sandwich I shared with her.

Seriously though, what is with all this food poisoning happening? A few months back, I was terrified that Popeye might actually get sick instead of bulk up enough to rescue Olive Oyl. For months I was terrified to eat spinach, and I actually love a good spinach salad or dip. I am still very wary of buying some packaged spinach, even worse with buying it fresh from a farmer's market. So I haven't had my doses of spinach lately.

Then I think it was tacos that had something in them that nauseated everyone. So it wasn't safe to eat out anymore for awhile either.

There has to be a way to better control what goes into market food and the way it's processed. Are we going to go back to hunting and gathering for ourselves?

  • I have a theory.

We are so used to our Sterilized homogenized sanitized and pasteurized world that our bodies, FORMERLY used to builing up an IMMUNITY to disease because it was always EXPOSED to it that our bodies immune systems HAVE BECOME PUSSYS!

Its JUST a theory I have, but I believe it because I USED to have BAD allergies, but since I have been OUTSIDE ALOT, the allergies have become almost nonexistant.

Theory, or fact? You be the judge!

By the way, I do it because I am a BIG PUSSY when it comes to operations!

  • How awesome would that be if Popeye ate teh spinach, got sick, then keeled over?

Bluto took Olive back to his place and gave her the time of her life. ;)

  • I think a big part of it has to be that the default for most folks now is eating at restaurants or eating crappy grocery food. So these things occur more often.

    And I'm OK with that.

  • I had to quarantine 2 cans of Peter Pan. One of them partly eaten, Oops.
I could probably gather my own food. But that is a hassle.
Hunting is like sex, once you pull the trigger, the cleanup begins.
Besides, I don`t have a clue how to make peanut butter. Do you smash some peanuts and then add butter. ( oh hell, we`ve got to make some butter first ).

  • i don't necessarily think it's the food as much as the fact no one in food service, or whatever wash their hands, and 80% of all public surfaces contain some trace of fecal matter.....EWWWW

  • I don't necessarily see a return to the stone age as a good thing, but if I ever run for Congress, I won't express an opinion on the matter.

  • twolf1920, our bodies have never built up an immunity to freaking SALMONELLOSIS bacteria. Sorry, I had to inject some scientific fact in here.

I'm not a big spinach person. Nor did I go to Taco Bell a lot. But man, don't fuck with my peanut butter!!!!!!!
