Uniform Police
I read today that quarterback Tom Brady of New England (one of my favorite teams) was fined an unspecified amount of money for wearing his chin strap the wrong way. Do they really hire people to look for things like this? I know that it's for his own good (safety wise) and all, but to fine him in an effort to teach him a lesson or to ensure that other players don't make the same mistake? Really?
Don't they have better things to do, like hire refs to ensure that the players are playing by game guidelines and not so much how they are wearing their uniforms?

I think it would be fun to wipe out all the rules for dress codes. Jim McMahon can come back and write a message on his headband, guys can wear colored bracelets ... whatever they want. More entertiaining that way.

Well I'm sure he has been playing this sport since he learned to walk. He should know better. So if his helmet falls off and he lands on his head...it's his own fault.

So strange eh? They can fine players for not tucking in their jerseys properly too.

Do they check the jock straps too?

I beleive (not 100% sure) the money goes to Charity, so they look for everything from wearing your socks incorrectly to not tucking in your shirt...

Seems a bit petty to me, but then I don't know the game !! Seems they should be watching how the play goes, not how the protective gear is worn ... after all, he did have it on, didn't he !?!?
Hope you are well, Angel.
Take care, Meow
