Silent Night

I didn't watch Saturday Night Live yesterday, but I did see a clip of the children's choir singing Silent Night in tribute to the tragedy in Connecticut. My heart still aches for the families and the victims of this horrific nightmare. And I know there is nothing I can say that will ever heal the hurt these families feel. For now, no words of comfort could ever ease the pain they are going through. The rendition of the choir singing Silent Night, was so beautiful and so moving. It brought to mind the innocent lives that were lost and the beauty that our children have. It brought to mind the beauty that our world can and does hold, if only we would let that part of our souls sing and shine. If only every person could see and feel that sort of love, this type of violence would end and we would never have to live through tragedies like this again.

I Do Believe In Ghosts

I do believe in ghosts. I am pretty sure I saw one once, but that is fodder for a different blog post. I may have written about it once, not sure, or maybe discussed it with Jay Noel. Anyway, back to why I was writing tonight. I was watching one of those reality ghost shows. And while it would normally freak me out, it made me second guess our scientific methods used to prove the existence of ghosts. First of all, these green spook lights they use. It hurts my eyes. Secondly, I don't hear anything when they say that they do. I am not saying that their methods are wrong or fabricated. In fact, I believe that they do see the paranormal and can hear them. I just think the way it translates to a televised show, does not do it justice. I still watch these shows however. They are interesting. And to hear other people talk about it, confirms the fact that I did see and hear the ghost that appeared to me. It was not a figment of my imagination. The fact that there was two of us that saw it, makes it more believable.
